Crooked funeral director Robert Bush to be sentenced
Funeral director Robert Bush is due to be sentenced at Hull Crown Court after pleading guilty to 67 offences committed over 12 years. Police found 31 bodies at his former Legacy Independent Funeral Directors site in Hull, including a stillborn baby, and more than 100 sets of ashes. Bush admitted giving families the wrong ashes, fraudulently handling funeral-plan payments, preventing lawful burials, and stealing donations intended for 12 charities, including the Salvation Army and Macmillan Cancer Support. More than 100 victims are expected to give evidence during the five-day sentencing hearing.
