Android users warned about fake app stealing bank details
A fake document‑reader app on the Google Play Store that has been downloaded more than 100,000 times is distributing the Anatsa banking trojan to Android devices. The malware steals financial credentials by mimicking legitimate banking app login screens and can access SMS messages and approve transactions. Security researchers say the app bypassed Google’s automated checks. Users are urged to review recently installed apps and monitor bank activity for unauthorized transactions.
