Group behind Manchester Airport hacked with 8.7 million customers' data accessed
Manchester Airports Group, which operates Manchester, London Stansted and East Midlands airports, reported that an unauthorised third party accessed data relating to about 8.7 million customers. The exposed information included email addresses, phone numbers, vehicle registrations and postcodes linked to car park, lounge, Fast Track and in-airport Wi-Fi bookings. Bank and payment details were not accessed, airport operations and passenger safety were unaffected, and upcoming bookings remain valid. MAG said it contained the incident, is working with specialist advisers and authorities, and urged customers to remain alert for fraudulent emails, calls and text messages.
