Work on £77m Preston-South Ribble road project still a year off
The £77m upgrade of the A582 between Lostock Hall and Penwortham will not begin for at least another year as Lancashire County Council prepares a full business case for Department for Transport approval. The council says the scheme will reduce congestion, improve travel times and enhance facilities for buses, pedestrians and cyclists, with revisions made following public engagement.
