Woman dies after cliff fall at UK beauty spot beach leaves her with brain injury
Rachel Anne Gwilliam, a 41-year-old accountant from Billingshurst, West Sussex, died at Derriford Hospital after falling from cliffs at Pentreath Beach on Cornwall’s Lizard Peninsula on July 20. She had been airlifted to hospital with a traumatic brain injury and died the following day. The senior Devon coroner, Philip Spinney, opened an inquest and adjourned it until a full hearing at a later date. Ambulance, Coastguard, RNLI and air-rescue teams responded to the incident.
