Garda investigation into attack on Nikita Hand's partner and break-in at her home 'effectively dead'
An Garda Síochána has effectively shelved its investigation into a June 2024 attack at Nikita Hand’s former home in Drimnagh, Dublin, where masked men broke windows and stabbed her partner. Investigators could not trace the suspected getaway car, and no file was sent to the Director of Public Prosecutions, although the case could technically be reopened if new information emerges. Details of the attack arose during Hand’s civil case against Conor McGregor, but the judge ruled it irrelevant after her counsel provided no evidence linking McGregor or his supporters to it. Hand won €248,603.60 after a jury found McGregor liable for assault, and his appeals were unsuccessful. She is due to publish a memoir, Not the Perfect Victim, in September.
