Self Esteem's powerful performance at York Museum Gardens
Self Esteem delivered an emotionally charged headline show at York Museum Gardens, opening in visible distress before settling into a powerful, communal performance supported by an eight-person choir. The evening featured strong supporting acts, including Joshua Idehen’s poetic, crowd‑moving set, Moonchild Sanelly’s bold energy and The Big Moon’s melodic indie-rock shift in tone. Despite some onstage imperfections, Rebecca Lucy Taylor’s authenticity and connection with the audience strengthened the atmosphere, rounding out a varied and engaging programme curated by promoter Futuresound.
