Basildon child injured by dog in Pipps Hill Asda incident
A child suffered minor injuries during an incident involving a young dog outside the Asda supermarket at Pipps Hill Retail Park in Basildon. Essex Police attended, gathered witness statements and issued the dog’s owner with a community resolution, an informal out-of-court outcome. The dog was not understood to have been seized, and no further investigation was expected. Councillor Andrew Baggott urged residents to supervise dogs closely, particularly during hot weather and in busy areas.
