Georgia Taylor-Brown finished sixth at WTCS London, recording her fourth top-10 World Triathlon Championship Series result of the year after winning the T100 Triathlon World Tour event in Pamplona. The Tokyo 2020 Olympic champion said her swim, transitions and running still need improvement, while finding the London bike course difficult for making decisive moves. Cassandre Beaugrand won ahead of Lisa Tertsch and Tilda Månsson, while Britain’s Beth Potter finished fourth and retained the overall lead.

Taylor Knibb has welcomed the creation of a unified Triathlon World Tour from 2027, arguing that the T50 short-course and T100 long-distance World Championship Tours can expand participation, sponsorship, investment and viewership across the sport. The Professional Triathletes Organisation and World Triathlon say the formats will be complementary, with investment initially focused more heavily on short-course racing. The first T50 season will feature nine events, while the T100 series will have eight, alongside Challenger-level competitions and World Championship Finals.
