Worcestershire council leader faces vote of no confidence
A no‑confidence vote against Worcestershire County Council leader Matt Jenkins has been scheduled, initiated by Reform UK leader Alan Amos and supported by two other Reform councillors. The motion challenges the stability of the council’s Green, Liberal Democrat, independent and Conservative coalition. Reform UK holds 22 seats, short of the 29 needed for a majority, and would require additional support from independents, Labour and at least one more councillor to pass the motion. The vote is expected to be contentious and will take place on July 16 at Pershore Civic Centre.
