Minnesota prosecutors obtain key evidence in Renee Good and Alex Pretti shooting investigations
Prosecutors in Minnesota obtained previously withheld federal evidence, including body-camera footage and witness statements, related to the shootings of Renee Good, Alex Pretti, and Julio Sosa-Celis during protests against increased immigration enforcement. Hennepin County Attorney Mary Moriarty and Attorney General Keith Ellison said the materials, along with Good’s vehicle, are now under review, emphasizing the need for transparency. The state had asked a federal judge to delay deadlines in its lawsuit against the Department of Justice due to renewed discussions with the FBI over information sharing. Ellison criticized federal officials for delaying access to key evidence for more than six months.
