Enfield Borough defender Ronald Idowu-Johnson has signed a two-year contract with Leyton Orient after impressing in youth and first‑team football. Chris Ampofo, chair of the Brent Schools Football Association, has been named one of four finalists in the BBC Make a Difference Awards volunteer category for his role in expanding girls’ football participation in Brent from five players to more than 150. His work has supported both inclusive participation and pathways to elite clubs such as MK Dons Women and Arsenal. Finalists received a surprise visit from musician Danny O’Donoghue, who commended their contributions, with winners to be announced in September.
