Six-year-old girl dies in hospital after being pulled from sea alongside family members
Six-year-old Saja El-Khawas died in hospital after being pulled from the sea at Shoreham-by-Sea, West Sussex. Her 14-year-old sister Sara and parents Hassan El-Khawas and Zeina Alayn died after entering the water near Shoreham Fort. The family, who lived in London, had Palestinian roots connected to Lebanon's Rashidieh refugee camp. Sussex Police said an initial review of CCTV and witness accounts indicated a tragic accident with no third-party involvement.
