Raymond Frenken

I am a veteran financial journalist whose first byline was published in 1981. I now work as international editor at Investment Officer, part of FD Mediagroep, publisher of Het Financieele Dagblad in Amsterdam.

My articles have been published in major newspapers worldwide, including the Wall Street Journal, International Herald Tribune, South China Morning Post, Het Financieele Dagblad, NRC Handelsblad and De Limburger, and as EU correspondent and Amsterdam market reporter I was a familiar face to CNBC Europe viewers.

As media entrepreneur I pioneered the creation of an online television channel dedicated to European affairs. The project led to a popular Youtube channel that now is part of Brussels-based publisher EurActiv.

Before joining Investment Officer, I held a position in communications at the European Banking Federation in Brussels. During this tenure, I developed a deep understanding of the European banking sector and post-crisis bank sector reforms.
