A large crowd gathered and protested on the Gurnos estate in Merthyr Tydfil after a 23-year-old man from the Hengoed area was arrested over an allegation of causing or inciting the sexual exploitation of a child. Police attended the disturbance, which lasted several hours and caused local shops to close early. No arrests were made at the scene, while the suspect remained in Gwent Police custody and a Section 35 dispersal order was imposed.
