The Script's Danny O'Donoghue: I met my wife after checking her out in the street
Danny O’Donoghue reflects on grief, anger, dyslexia, family life and his relationship with his wife, Anais. He describes meeting her by chance on a Dublin street, moving in together during the Covid lockdown and maintaining their marriage by making deliberate time for each other. He also discusses using church, boxing and therapy to process grief and stress, growing up in a large Dublin household, and receiving an “Irish Power” tattoo with late bandmate Mark Sheehan. O’Donoghue recalls visualising musical success as a child and notes that The Script has achieved eight No 1 albums in Ireland. The band’s new album, “The User’s Guide to Being Human”, is released.
