Gerard Trojanowski, 44, from the Merthyr Tydfil area, died after being struck by several vehicles, including a marked Dyfed-Powys Police car, on the A40 in Carmarthen at about 9:50pm on July 28. His family described him as a loving husband, father, and generous person. Dyfed-Powys Police referred the incident to the Independent Office of Police Conduct and appealed for witnesses, while the road was closed for nearly 24 hours.

Two women, Demi Oliver and Kelly Rees, attacked Warren Harper with knives after a night of drinking at a house in Milford Haven. Harper was chased, slashed on the wrist and arm, and escaped while bleeding heavily before being taken to hospital for surgery. Both women admitted unlawful wounding and were sentenced at Swansea Crown Court, with Oliver receiving 17 months in prison and Rees receiving an additional 27 months.
