Travel blogger Hannah Stephenson says she suffered more than 100 bed bug bites after staying at Travelodge’s Newmarket Road hotel in Cambridge on 26 July 2026. She reported finding blood stains, black dots and live bugs in her bedding, and received steroids and antihistamines after contacting NHS 111. Travelodge confirmed bed bugs had been found, apologised, said the issue was resolved to her satisfaction and announced retraining for housekeeping staff.
