Edinburgh man among 8 charged in police investigation into historical child sexual exploitation
Eight men aged between 54 and 73 have been charged with more than 30 offences following a Gwent Police investigation into historical child sexual exploitation in Wales. Charges authorised by the Crown Prosecution Service include multiple counts of rape and indecent assault involving eight victims abused between 1985 and 1996. Two of the suspects are from Scotland, with others arrested across the UK. Police emphasised victim support and warned against sharing material that could affect upcoming court proceedings scheduled in Newport on July 24.
