Rangers drop into Conference League as Bialystok deal latest blow
Rangers were eliminated from the Europa League qualifiers after a 3-2 aggregate defeat to Jagiellonia Białystok, despite Lawrence Shankland's first-half penalty levelling the tie on the night. Nik Prelec's second-half header secured a deserved draw for the Polish side, whose greater control and attacking threat exposed Rangers' lack of cohesion. Derek McInnes remains without a competitive win in his first four matches as manager, while injuries to Youssef Chermiti and Tuur Rommens have further weakened the squad. Rangers now enter the Conference League play-off round against Jablonec and face St Mirren in a domestic cup tie.

Guilherme Montoia’s own goal put Rangers ahead after four minutes, but Kajetan Szmyt scored twice in the first half after defensive errors. Derek McInnes’ second-half substitutions helped Rangers dominate possession and create several chances, including a late shot against the post, but they could not equalize and must overturn the deficit at Ibrox.
