The UK Ministry of Defence has rejected paranormal investigator Malcolm Robinson’s request for a government inquiry into reported UFO activity over Scotland. The MoD said no sighting reported over more than 50 years had indicated a military threat, confirmed that it stopped investigating such reports in 2009, and said historical files are available through the National Archives. Although it continuously monitors UK airspace for credible threats, the department said it has no plans to create a dedicated UFO team or resume research. Robinson criticized the lack of transparency and called on Prime Minister Andy Burnham to follow the United States’ example by launching an inquiry.
