Actress Daveigh Chase, known for portraying Samara in The Ring, died on June 16 at age 35 from AIDS, with chronic substance abuse identified as a contributing factor. Her partner, Roy Hernandez, had previously revealed her secret health struggles, including meningitis, sepsis, and other serious infections, while appealing for financial support for her care.
