Released Ipswich Town academy players Usisya Longwe and Jackson Nsofor have joined seventh-tier club Bishop's Stortford. Both were regulars for Ipswich's Under-18 side, while Nsofor also featured in the club's 2025/26 FA Youth Cup run and had several work-experience loans. Longwe previously spent a short loan spell with Felixstowe & Walton.

Ipswich Town U21s 2-4 Coventry City - Match Report
Ipswich Town U21s began their 2026/27 Premier League Cup campaign with a 4-2 defeat by Coventry City in Colchester. Ex-Ipswich Town player Kalvin Phillips joins Sheffield United on loan
Former Ipswich Town loanee Kalvin Phillips has rejoined Sheffield United from Manchester City on a season-long loan. His previous spell at Sheffield United was limited to three appearances because of a knee injury and a red card in the Steel City derby. Phillips made 22 appearances for Ipswich during the 2024/25 season but was also affected by injuries, and he now hopes to return to full fitness and make a stronger contribution at Bramall Lane.

Ipswich Town U21s have had their 2026/27 fixtures confirmed for the EFL Trophy and National League Cup. They will travel to Luton Town, Peterborough United and Colchester United in the EFL Trophy, while their first National League Cup campaign includes away matches at Braintree Town, Hornchurch, Worthing and Aldershot Town. Ipswich Town’s academy completed a pre-season training camp in Slovakia involving 43 players and 19 staff. The under-18 and under-21 players lost 1–0 to Spartak Trnava’s under-19s, then defeated DAC 1904’s B team 3–2 after coming from behind, with Tudor Mendel scoring twice and Kellyan Olawole adding the late winner.
