Saad Sarfraz Sheikh is an independent photojournalist and reporter based in Lahore, Pakistan. He began his journalistic career as an assistant editor for leading English newspapers in Pakistan, including the Daily Times (2005-2009) and The Friday Times (2009-2011). His work involved writing, reporting, editing and supervising layouts of the newspapers. Field reporting in an eventful country allowed him to photograph important regional issues for the papers, and also contribute on a freelance basis for Getty Images, Demotix and Corbis. Subsequent to an MA in Global Journalism from the University of Sheffield in 2012, he now works as an independent photographer and journalist covering Pakistan. His work has been featured in Time, Al Jazeera, Esquire Middle East, Foreign Policy, Courrier International (France), Pulitzer Center on Crisis Reporting, Roads&Kingdoms, Herald (Dawn), Forbes Lifestyle, The News on Sunday, The Friday Times, Vogue India, Verve India and NowThis. He has also conducted photojournalism workshops in Pakistan, including a Tedx Talk on photography as a medium in 2013.
