Sebastien Pocognoli is reportedly the Scottish Football Association’s leading candidate to replace Steve Clarke as Scotland manager. The 39-year-old is a free agent after leaving Monaco and previously guided Union Saint-Gilloise to its first Belgian league title in 90 years, earning Belgian Coach of the Year recognition. The former West Brom and Brighton player has limited senior managerial experience but has also coached Belgium’s youth teams and managed Union Saint-Gilloise in European competition. Clarke left after Scotland’s group-stage elimination from the World Cup.
