Mohamed Salah is set to join Turkish club Trabzonspor on a two-year contract after leaving Liverpool on a free transfer and seeing a proposed move to Beşiktaş collapse over wage demands. Trabzonspor says Salah will travel to Turkey for a medical and contract discussions, with the deal expected to be completed shortly. Salah departs Liverpool after nine years, 257 goals in 442 appearances, two Premier League titles and a Champions League triumph.

Tony Bellew criticized Eddie Hearn during a live DAZN broadcast over the possibility of staging the long-awaited Anthony Joshua–Tyson Fury fight in the United States. Bellew argued that British fans would provide most of the pay-per-view audience and that the bout belongs in a major UK stadium such as Wembley. Hearn said he and Joshua preferred the UK but suggested that Saudi boxing interests, Nick Khan, TKO and Netflix favored Madison Square Garden in New York, partly because of commercial and time-zone considerations. The fight is expected to be arranged later in the year if Joshua defeats Kristian Prenga.
