Deal ramps up production of Ipswich Frugalpac machines
Frugalpac has partnered with Siemens Financial Services to offer eligible customers a structured lease-purchase scheme for its next-generation FBAM-2 paper bottle assembly machine. The three-lane machine can produce up to 14 million bottles annually, potentially enabling packaging companies and drinks producers to manufacture Frugal Bottles closer to filling sites and end markets. Frugalpac says the bottles have an 84% lower carbon footprint than standard glass bottles and can reduce emissions, extended producer responsibility costs and supply-chain risks. The product has reportedly been adopted by brands in 27 countries and is stocked by retailers including Aldi, Sainsbury’s and Whole Foods.
