Bridges and infrastructure are hit as US struck deeper into Iran
The United States has expanded its air campaign against Iran beyond coastal defenses and naval targets to bridges, roads, communications systems, military bases, missile sites and other critical infrastructure. Strikes have affected transportation, water supplies, power systems and communications across several Iranian provinces, while Iranian forces have retaliated against US bases, Gulf shipping and Israel-linked targets. The conflict has disrupted traffic and maritime activity around the Strait of Hormuz, damaged key infrastructure and caused military and civilian casualties, raising the risk of a broader regional war.
