Victorian Day Marks Railway's 150th Anniversary
Ravenglass Railway Museum is organizing a Victorian-themed event in 2026 to mark 150 years of passenger travel on the Ravenglass & Eskdale Railway, known as La’al Ratty. Visitors can take part in traditional crafts, games, Victorian dress, a Victoria sponge baking competition and a special return train journey hauled by the Northern Rock steam locomotive. The event is intended to recreate the railway’s 1976 centenary celebrations, with ticket proceeds supporting the museum and flexible pricing for attendees.
