Noise and stolen food among main reasons why students fall out – poll
A survey of more than 4,000 UK students and parents found that noise, stolen or used-up food, and untidiness were leading causes of disputes between university housemates. Financial pressures were also prominent: students reported conflicts over overspending and unpaid debts, while common regrets included poor budgeting, excessive spending on nights out, and overreliance on overdrafts or credit. Nationwide and Save the Student advised students to plan their finances before starting university.
