‘Only Yes Means Yes’: Spanish Parliament Approve Consent Bill

Spain's parliament has passed the 'Only Yes Means Yes' consent bill, which requires explicit expression of consent for sexual activities, defining passivity or silence as insufficient. The bill, part of a series of reforms including the menstrual leave bill, aims to make it easier for sexual assault survivors to seek justice without having to prove violence, intimidation, or resistance. It also addresses digital sexual violence and crimes involving substances. Minister for Equality Irene Montero states the bill will make Spain safer for women.

Tatiana Calderón, a Colombian driver, has been announced as the first Latin American woman to drive a Formula One car, specifically the C37 Sauber – Alfa Romeo, during a promotional event in Mexico City.
