Man City make Cody Gakpo transfer approach as Liverpool face unusual £70m decision
Manchester City have reportedly made an opening approach for Liverpool forward Cody Gakpo, competing with Tottenham, whose offer for the Dutch international was previously rejected and who are said to have agreed personal terms with him. Liverpool could demand more than £70 million for the 27-year-old, who is contracted until 2030 and has scored 51 goals in 181 appearances since joining from PSV Eindhoven. Manchester City are also pursuing Ayyoub Bouaddi and Allan Elias while managing possible departures involving Savinho and Omar Marmoush. Liverpool-linked coach Andoni Iraola praised Gakpo's recent form and training.
