Horrified woman tells how camera footage showed workman prancing around naked apart from her bra
A woman in Ingol discovered security-camera footage showing joiner Neil Wilson entering upstairs rooms, rummaging through her underwear, trying on bras and leaving with underwear after being hired to work downstairs. Wilson was arrested, admitted trying on the items and pleaded guilty to burglary and theft from a dwelling at Preston Magistrates’ Court. He received a 12-month prison sentence suspended for 12 months and was ordered to pay compensation and costs. The victim urged people to supervise workers in their homes or use security cameras.
Kirkham Stormwater Project Boosts Wrangway Brook Water Quality
A £5.5 million United Utilities project in Kirkham has completed ahead of schedule, delivering a 300-metre underground stormwater tunnel with capacity for more than two million litres. The additional wastewater capacity is expected to reduce storm-overflow discharges into Wrangway Brook, a tributary of the River Ribble, by limiting pressure on the sewer network, Freckleton pumping station and Clifton Marsh treatment works during heavy rainfall. United Utilities also planted fruit trees for community use and said the project forms part of a wider £13 billion investment in North West water and wastewater infrastructure.
