Five More Arrests in Connection with Fatal A66 Crash - Including Boy, 16
Five additional people, including a 16-year-old boy, have been arrested in connection with a fatal A66 collision in which seven people died, including Cleveland Police officers PC Tom Clough and PC Matthew Blades. The latest arrests bring the total to 17 and relate to alleged organised crime activity, assisting an offender and threats to kill. Two men have been charged in separate proceedings, while several others have been released on bail or remain in custody. Police say the crash followed reports of two vehicles being driven dangerously, with both vehicles using cloned registration plates, and describe the inquiry as a fast-moving investigation with links to serious organised crime.
