easyJet Flight Delay Compensation - Your Rights Explained
easyJet passengers may qualify for EC261 compensation when a flight arrives more than three hours late, is cancelled within 14 days, or involves involuntary denied boarding, unless extraordinary circumstances such as severe weather or air traffic control strikes apply. Depending on the delay, passengers may also receive refreshment vouchers, reimbursement for reasonable expenses, alternative travel, a refund, overnight accommodation and food allowances. Receipts should be retained, and claims must be submitted directly to easyJet. Money Saving Expert says eligible passengers can claim up to £520, potentially for historic delays, with claims generally possible for six years in most of the UK and five years in Scotland; a 2024 ruling also widened potential claims involving pilot sickness.
