DogsnHomes Rescue, based in Church Crookham, is preparing to receive its 1,000th rescue dog, a four-year-old named Millie arriving from Portugal with 12 other dogs on August 29. Co-founder Gary Baxter said Millie was chosen to highlight that older dogs also deserve permanent homes. Hampshire father thanks ambulance crew who saved his life

Rapid action by family members, emergency services and hospital staff led to his full recovery, after which he received an implantable cardioverter defibrillator and pacemaker and made a donation to the South Central Ambulance Charity.
