Two Further Men Arrested in Connection to 'Hate Display' on Moygashel Bonfire
Five men aged between 27 and 74 have been arrested in connection with offensive materials placed on a Moygashel bonfire, including a model mosque and an effigy depicting an Islamic terrorist. The arrests followed searches of properties in the village by PSNI detectives investigating suspected offences under Article 9 of the Public Order Order 1987. All five men remain in custody, while another man was charged in relation to the incident the previous month. Northern Ireland Secretary Hilary Benn condemned the display as an act of intimidation.
