Revd Simon Ramacci of Suffolk plans to walk the equivalent of 3,000 miles from Ipswich to Jerusalem as a virtual pilgrimage to raise funds for the St John of Jerusalem Eye Hospital Group. Yarmouth and Lowestoft Defibrillators on National List
Two defibrillators in the Great Yarmouth and Lowestoft area have been included in the British Heart Foundation’s list of the UK’s 10 most extraordinary devices: one at Broadland Great Yarmouth Rugby Club is the country’s lowest, while another at Karpet Kingdom in Lowestoft is the most easterly. Both are maintained by Jayne Biggs, who began campaigning for better defibrillator access after her daughter Violet survived a cardiac arrest. The BHF says nearly 123,000 devices are registered on the national Circuit network but aims to reach 125,000 by the end of the year.
