Blue star Lee Ryan plans Supreme Court challenge over Glasgow flight assault
Singer Lee Ryan is seeking permission to appeal to the UK Supreme Court after losing challenges to his conviction for racially aggravated assault and abusive behavior toward British Airways cabin crew member Leah Gordon during a July 2022 flight from Glasgow to London City Airport. Ryan, who had consumed a bottle of port, was accused of making racial comments and grabbing Gordon's wrists. His barrister told Isleworth Crown Court that an application must be filed by August 11 and that a decision on the legal point is expected within two months. If the appeal fails, Ryan will be resentenced.
