Morrisons has renamed its Market Street Cob ‘Cob for Care’ throughout August to raise funds for Marie Curie, donating 25p from each loaf sold. The initiative is part of the Every Pack Gives Back and Paint It Yellow campaigns, which also include selected household and food products, loyalty-point donations and fundraising events. The Morrisons–Marie Curie partnership has raised £7 million so far, with a target of £15 million by October 2027. Marie Curie staff and a family member highlighted the importance and compassion of the charity’s end-of-life care.

Half of UK Football Fans Admit Secretly Backing Another Country During International Tournaments
Research commissioned by Heathrow Express found that 53% of UK football fans support a second international team, while 37% have secretly backed another country during a tournament. Spain, Brazil and Scotland were the most popular alternative teams, with playing style, star players and underdog narratives driving support. Football also influences travel plans: 30% said tournaments made them want to travel abroad, 45% of fans with a second team would consider travelling if it reached a final, and 12% had already travelled overseas to watch a match. The survey also found that fans commonly watch matches in unusual locations and follow matchday superstitions.
