Southern Green has received a 12-month contract to continue design work, with construction expected to begin in spring 2027 if funding and planning approval are secured.

Saltburn Valley Gardens subject to five-year management plan
Saltburn’s Grade II listed Valley Gardens, which are on Historic England’s At Risk Register, will be managed under a new five-year plan. It responds to concerns about path erosion, overgrown vegetation, deteriorating features, restricted access and declining heritage value, although the council acknowledges that limited funding remains a major challenge. Progress will be monitored annually and the plan formally reviewed every five years.
