Bury Hospice is promoting several September fundraising events, including a bingo night, registrations for the 2027 Strictly Best Foot Forward dance contest, a retro daytime disco, and an abseiling challenge at Peel Tower. The charity provides free specialist palliative and end-of-life care and needs to raise £4.8 million during the year to fund its services. A Strictly-style fundraising event for Bury Hospice brought together twelve dance couples, celebrity judges and volunteer instructors, raising £105,085 to support end‑of‑life care in the community. Nicola Reynolds and Daniel Wood won the competition, and participants were later honoured at a celebration event where certificates were presented and fundraising achievements recognised. The hospice and volunteers were commended for their commitment and ongoing support, with recruitment for the 2027 edition planned.
