New self-service launderette opens at Bents in Glazebury

When will the solar eclipse be visible from Leigh?
A rare and deep partial solar eclipse will be visible across the UK on Wednesday, August 12, 2026. In Leigh, the eclipse is expected to begin around 6:13 pm, peak at approximately 7:10 pm and end by 8:04 pm, with the setting sun appearing to have a large bite taken out of it.
