Pilot says every passenger should bring one item of clothing onto planes
Retired pilot Steve Scheibner advises passengers to bring a sweatshirt or coat on every flight because cabin temperatures can vary considerably, regardless of the weather outside. He explains that pilots historically controlled cabin temperature from the cockpit, while newer aircraft such as the Boeing 777 and 787 give more control to flight attendants. Scheibner also warns passengers not to store valuable belongings in seat-back pockets, which he describes as difficult places from which to recover lost items.

Keep bin flies and maggots away this summer using two kitchen spices
Warm summer conditions increase fly and maggot problems in household bins, but a social media home‑care creator recommends sprinkling cayenne pepper and cinnamon in the base of bins to deter insects.
