Tapas Sengupta

Myself, Tapas Sengupta, from Kolkata, INDIA is a State Accredited Journalist with 19 years of experience in the media industry worked with multiple Broadcast Media since 2007, I have led highly professional journalists at Times Now, News Nation and News X in 10 states of Eastern and North Eastern India .

I am fortunate to have worked with various Broadcasting Organisations in all three mediums (English, Hindi, and Bengali). I plan to implement and evaluate robust external and internal communication strategies.I also ensure diversity, inclusion, training, and a congenial working atmosphere. Presently, I am also writing for multiple English Weekly Newspapers.

Throughout my career, I've always encouraged teamwork, critical thinking, resolving problems creatively, and dealing with people inside and outside of organisations. I am a Reporter and have been covering stories on Politics, Strategic, Defence, Para Military Forces extensively. 

I am a qualified Defence Correspondent accredited by Ministry of Defence, Government of India. In past 19 years of my journalistic career, I had covered numerous conflicts within the country like Abrogation of Article 370 in Jammu and Kashmir, Gorkhaland Turmoil in Darjeeling, India-China face off in Dokalam, Tawang etc. Covering natural calamities in the eastern part of the country have also enriched me in dealing with adverse situations.
