A Ryanair flight from Thessaloniki to Memmingen returned shortly after takeoff when a window dislodged, causing a passenger to be partially pulled outside until others held him by the legs. The aircraft rapidly descended and oxygen masks deployed as the cabin lost pressure. The 61‑year‑old passenger was hospitalized with friction burns but remained conscious. Electric vehicles cost more to insure because integrated designs make repairs difficult and expensive, especially when components such as battery packs and charging hardware must be replaced as complete units. Analysts cite high labour costs, limited parts availability and longer repair times as additional contributors to higher premiums. Industry groups are working with manufacturers to simplify EV repair processes, redesign vulnerable components and reduce the risk of write-offs. Newer models show improving repair cost trends, which could eventually lower insurance premiums and support wider EV adoption.
