Mixed fortunes for BTCC drivers at Donington Park
Local drivers recorded mixed results at Donington Park, where BTCC rounds 19, 20 and 21 were held. Ricky Collard achieved the strongest BTCC result with fifth place in race two, alongside an eighth place and a retirement, leaving him fifth overall on 202 points. Nick Halstead’s best result was 18th. In the Mini Challenge Trophy, Alex Keens finished fifth and then twice third to take the championship lead, while Liona Theobald placed 16th, 17th and 13th and sits sixth in the Rookie Cup. The next round is at Croft Circuit in Yorkshire.
