More than 60 motorcyclists gathered outside Southampton General Hospital on August 2 to support Winchester rider Don Brown, who suffered serious injuries in a motorcycle collision on July 3. Brown underwent surgery to remove two neck discs and may be paralysed, with recovery expected to take up to nine months. A GoFundMe campaign organized by his friend Kevan Longhurst has raised nearly £5,000 to help cover hospital visits, rehabilitation and daily expenses.

Fleet cyclist Mantas Mikuzis completed a London-to-Paris ride from July 22 to 25 in memory of his mother, Loretta Mikuziene, who died from brain cancer. Carrying her NHS lanyard, he finished the challenge on his birthday and raised money for The Brain Tumour Charity. His GoFundMe campaign has raised £1,045 toward a £1,300 target, and he has extended it for several weeks. Mikuzis also highlighted gaps in support for brain cancer patients and the need for better practical assistance alongside medical care.
