Kim Le Court completes ride to redemption with Lloyds Tour of Britain triumph
Mauritian rider Kim Le Court won the Lloyds Tour of Britain overall, securing the green jersey and becoming the first African winner of the event a year after crashing out and vowing not to return. The victory was her first UCI Women’s WorldTour general-classification triumph and followed her Tour de France Femmes stage win. Lorena Wiebes won the final-stage sprint after her team chased down a breakaway, taking her 11th Tour of Britain stage victory and surpassing Mark Cavendish’s record. Lauren Dickson won the Queen of the Mountains jersey and Fleur Moors claimed the Young Rider classification.
