Meet the Colombian cyclist blazing a South American trail at Lloyds Tour of Britain
Juliana Londoño became the first Colombian woman to compete in the Lloyds Tour of Britain, finishing second in the young rider classification and placing in the top ten on a stage. The 21-year-old Team Picnic PostNL rider is one of only two Colombian women racing in Europe and hopes to expand her country’s legacy in women’s road cycling, following the achievements of Nairo Quintana and Egan Bernal. Her result, despite unfamiliar weather and narrow roads, is presented as an encouraging sign of future potential.
